BA show

The BA show had a great turn out. I believe we did a great job with everything. As for now the wood kiln is ready for the welding and then ready to fire. So we need to fill this thing so hopefully we get a work day.

Well the wood kiln did not get done in time for the BA show, so I glazed my pieces and they are firing right now. Sunday we met and finished the arch of the kiln and it looks amazing. The BA show is this Friday and I hope we have a good turn out. Since I did not get to wood fire my pieces I have been trying to get some more work ready for the wood kiln.

IOver the weekend I set up my half of the space lab show. I wasn't sure how it would turn out and I can't say I was exactly happy with the results but for my first installation I'll take it. As for my work for the BA show I also finished a sculpture this week. I now have three that I would like to fire in the wood kiln. Hopefully we can get the kiln done in time.

I have continued to work on pieces for the BA show and the wood kiln. I finish this piece last week and I'm working on at least one more. This was were we started on the kiln and we got a lot more done than this, but I forgot to take a picture after the class. For now I'm going to continue working for the show and getting things worked out for my instillation project that is coming up soon.

Hard at Work

Started on the wood kiln last week and we have a nice level base to start from. I'm excited to continue working on it and hopeful that we can finish it before the BA show in November. I have continued to throw and I'm in the drying process right now, but early this week I will start on another cut form sculpture. I really enjoy what I'm doing right now and I'm excited to see the final results.

Finished with the Ritual

The ritual project is finished and I am happy with the results. It's not exactly what I was planning on, but I enjoy the finished product. Now I'm working on an extra project at the moment, for the BA show in November.  It's going to be one of my cut pieces and I'm excited about getting some work done. I'm still not sure what I'm going to do for the Instillation project I have some ideas, but none of them seem to stick as a good solid concept. As for now I'm still brainstorming hopefully I can come up with a idea that I can run with.

Ritual progress

I have started assembling the ritual project, but first I had to throw as much as possible. The design will be a little different then I was expecting, but I like where the project is going as of right now. Now I need to continue to throw so I have a lot of pieces to choose from to cut and put in the piece. I'm also not sure if I will be incorporating shot glasses with it, but it's a possibility.
